Dana Ghazi was born and raised in Damascus, Syria before moving to the United States in 2002. In 2016, Dana graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies from Portland State University. She also served as the student body president at PSU from 2015-2016. Dana is passionate about informing theories of conflict resolution/transformation with hands-on practices and vice versa. She has worked with international programs focused on addressing major conflicts like the ones in Syria, Colombia and the Balkans. She has also been active locally with groups addressing structural violence and racism.
