Sara Greenberger Rafferty is an artist and art writer who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her photos, paintings, and sculptures reveal a fascination with comedy, performance, and intentional accidents (foot + banana peel, photo + spilled water, pie + face). She received her BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, and her MFA in Sculpture and New Genres from Columbia in New York. Greenberger has had solo exhibitions at Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York; The Kitchen, New York; P.S.1, New York; and The Suburban, Chicago. She has also produced a project for the 2007 Time-Based Art Festival. From 2005–07, Rafferty was co-editor of the annual publication North Drive Press; her own writing about art and comedy has been published in several notable art and culture publications. Rafferty is represented by Rachel Uffner Gallery New York.
