Over thirty local musicians, composers, and sound artists have mapped out their favorite local sonic spaces, creating an “audio tour” of the most interesting naturally occurring acoustic landscapes. These locations can be anything from a natural reverb chamber under a bridge to a particular place and time—say, when traffic passes a certain intersection on a Wednesday. Using QR codes and online maps, the project poses the question of whether achieving an open and quiet mind is still possible when using the very digital devices that distract it.

The ten-day audio tour installation will end with a live outdoor performance based on these sonic spaces. Featuring music by Daniel Menche, Luke Wyland (AU), Matt Carlson (Golden Retriever), Mary Sutton, Eric Mast (E*Rock), Holland Andrews (Like a Villain), Thomas Thorson (Interiors X), and Meza.
