David Eckard returns to the streets with his sideshow pitch and a roaming rumination on the Cardiff Giant’s long, lingering shadow. One of the greatest hoaxes of all time, this limestone behemoth confounded faith, rallied reason, and left us with a pocked, recumbent monument to skewed credulity. What would he say to our current avatar and feathered body? From his portable stage before incidental audiences, Eckard echoes the cry and tactics of midway barker, medicine showman, and snake oil huckster.
