This series of TV-commercial-length video vignettes, called Dramas, features narratives constructed with fake-real objects. As the objects are activated, roles of subject and object flip, asking us to consider who or what is really the prop in our position as consumer. The brief exchanges focus on initial tactile contact, often transforming trivial moments into intimate reflection, and affirming a collision between those encounters we remember and construct. Dramas will be screened on cable television in Oregon and Washington as part of PICA’s TBA:09.
