Presented in partnership with White Bird Dance

Internationally renowned choreographer Crystal Pite and dance company, Kidd Pivot, join forces with Jonathan Young of Electric Company Theatre for the exhilarating and bewildering dance/theatre piece Betroffenheit. In partnership with artistic presenter White Bird Dance, join PICA on the show’s opening night for a special edition of Field Guide facilitated by celebrated local choreographer Tahni Holt.

PICA’s signature public engagement program, Field Guide invites audiences to explore key concepts in contemporary performance while discovering and discussing the aesthetic, social, and cultural influences and contexts behind the artists in focus. The evening will consist of a pre-show workshop (6:30 – 7:45 PM), performance viewing (8:00 – 10:00 PM), and post-show conversation (10:00 – 10:30 PM). Open to the public. No prior performance experience required. Perfect for the curious but uninitiated. Bring a friend!
