PICA announces Round 3 (2015) of the Precipice Fund, a grants program supporting unincorporated, collaborative, visual art projects, programs, and spaces in Portland. For 2015, submissions open August 17th and close October 9th. Artists interested in applying should plan to attend one of five free information sessions (see schedule below), which outline grant guidelines, timeline, funding priorities, eligibility, and submission instructions. If you attended a session last year, this year’s will include 2015 updates

Additionally, two free budget workshops will be offered in Portland, designed for those new to grantwriting and project budgeting but useful for more seasoned applicants, too. Budget workshops immediately follow June 6th and August 1st information sessions. To register for an information session or budget workshop, email [email protected] with your name, session date, and number of attendees. If signing up for June 6th or August 1st, please indicate whether you are registering for the information session, the budget workshop, or both.

Note: Non-Portland artists are eligible to apply for a Precipice Fund grant as a collaborator on a submission that includes Portland-based artists and a public component in Portland. In the interest of expanding awareness of the program among artists statewide, two of our five information sessions in 2015 will be held outside Portland.
