PROGRAMS

From performances to exhibitions to lectures to the annual TBA Festival, our programs catalyze conversations about contemporary culture.

Visual

Spanning sculpture, painting, sound, film, media, happenings, and more, PICA’s Visual Art program reflects the multi-faceted practices of our artists.

Performance

From dance to theater to music and beyond, PICA supports interdisciplinary new performance by artists exploring urgent cultural ideas and issues.

SPACE Program

SPACE (Supporting Partners, Artists and Community Events) offers PICA’s space, equipment, staff, and other resources in support of local artists and community organizations to curate and produce residencies, programs, and events.

TBA Festival

TBA draws artists from across the country and around the globe for a ten-day convergence of performance and visual art each September.

Institute

The Institute provides context and sparks dialogue around the projects we present, through workshops, lectures, salons, and gallery tours.

Creative Exchange Lab

A research-based artist residency program designed with a focus on serving artists working at the intersection of different forms. The program is comprised of two labs annually.

Resource Room

An open library of over 3,000 artist books and recordings of past events, hosting research, talks, and artists through our Resource Room Residencies.
