VNPRT
Previously VirtuousVice, VNPRT has become a staple contributor to the event scene in Portland. When it comes to his selection of sounds, gumbo comes to mind. The creolization of multiple genres packed into his live sets, leave people satisfied yet unsure of what they've just experienced. It started with himself digging for music at the library which expanded his interest in various genres of music. His influences from a lifelong study of music include hip hop, (original) trap, house, dance, lounge, soul, funk, r&b, jazz, chill wave, and trip hop to name a few.
While only publicly djing for over a year, he has played at various places and pop-up events around town. Starting with multiple house shows leading to Renn Fayre at Reed College (Rave at the Dome), Holocene (Chapter: Creative Cultivation 1 and 2), Disjecta (D.U.G), Produce Row (Y.G.B x Chapter), Society Hotel (Forrest For The Trees and Fireside Friday), Parasol (Subterranean Vibes), Valentine's (TribePDX), Service (Holiday Trees), Trap Paradise (Chapter Mag 1st Thursday Pop Up), Sticks and Stones (1st Thursday) and NYX (Dapper and Dandy/Levitation Release Party).
